Transverse-momentum (pT) differential yields of electrons from semileptonic heavy-flavour hadron decays have been measured in the most central (0–10%) and in semi- central (20–40%) Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76TeV. The corresponding production cross section in pp collisions has been measured at the same energy with substantially reduced systematic uncertainties with respect to previously published results. The modifi- cation of the yield in Pb–Pb collisions with respect to the expectation from an incoherent superposition of nucleon-nucleon collisions is quantified at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.8) ...Daha fazlası
The production of beauty hadrons was measured via semi-leptonic decays at mid-rapidity with the ALICE detector at the LHC in the transverse momentum interval 1 < pT < 8 GeV/c in minimum-bias p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV and in 1.3 < pT
We report measurements of the production of prompt D0, D+, D∗+ and D+s mesons in Pb-Pb collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair sNN‾‾‾‾√=5.02 TeV, in the centrality classes 0-10%, 30-50% and 60-80%. The D-meson production yields are measured at mid-rapidity (|y|
The measurement of azimuthal correlations of charged particles is presented forPb–Pbcollisionsat√sNN =2.76TeVandp–Pbcollisionsat√sNN =5.02TeVwiththe ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. These correlations are measured for the second, third and fourth order flow vector in the pseudorapidity region |η| < 0.8 as a function of centrality and transverse momentum pT using two observables, to search for evidence of pT-dependent flow vector fluctuations. For Pb–Pb collisions at 2.76TeV, the measurements indicate that pT-dependent fluctuations are only present for the second order flow vec ...Daha fazlası
The W and Z boson production was measured via the muonic decay chan- nel in proton-lead collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider with the ALICE detector. The measurement covers backward (−4.46 < ycms < −2.96) and for- ward (2.03 < ycms < 3.53) rapidity regions, corresponding to Pb-going and p-going direc- tions, respectively. The Z-boson production cross section, with dimuon invariant mass of 60 < mμμ < 120GeV/c2 and muon transverse momentum (pμT) larger than 20GeV/c, is measured. The production cross section and charge asymmetry of muons from W-boson decays with pμT > 10 GeV ...Daha fazlası
