Hierarchical representation of video sequences for annotation

Video annotation is an important issue in video content management systems. Rapid growth of the digital video data has created a need for efficient and reasonable mechanisms that can ease the annotation process. In this paper, we propose a novel hierarchical clustering based system for video annotation. The proposed system generates a top-down hierarchy of the video streams using hierarchical k-means clustering. Tagging accuracy analysis on part-of-speech taggers

Part of Speech (POS) Tagging can be applied by several tools and several programming languages. This work focuses on the Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) library in the Python environment and the gold standard corpora installable. The corpora and tagging methods are analyzed and compared by using the Python language. Different taggers are analyzed according to their tagging accuracies with data from three different corpora. Event-by-event mean pT fluctuations in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at the LHC

Event-by-event fluctuations of the mean trans- verse momentum of charged particles produced in pp colli- sions at √s = 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV, and Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV are studied as a function of the charged- particle multiplicity using the ALICE detector at the LHC. Dynamical fluctuations indicative of correlated particle emis- sion are observed in all systems. The results in pp collisions show little dependence on collision energy.
