Neutral pion and η meson production at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Neutral pion and η meson production in the transverse momentum range 1 < pT < 20 GeV/c have been measured at midrapidity by the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in central and semicentral Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV. These results were obtained using the photon conversion method as well as the Photon Spectrometer (PHOS) and Electromagnetic Calorimeter detectors. The results extend the upper pT reach of the previous ALICE π0 measurements from 12 to 20 GeV/c and present the first measurement of η meson production in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC. The η/π0 ratio is si ...Daha fazlası

Production of muons from heavy-flavour hadron decays in p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The production of muons from heavy-flavour hadron decays in p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV was studied for 2 < pT < 16 GeV/c with the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC. The measurement was performed at forward (p-going direction) and backward (Pb-going direction) rapidity, in the ranges of rapidity in the centre-of-mass system (cms) 2.03 < ycms < 3.53 and −4.46 < ycms < −2.96, respectively. The production cross sections and nuclear modification factors are presented as a function of transverse momentum (pT). At forward rapidity, the nuclear modification factor is compatible with unity while a ...Daha fazlası

Centrality dependence of the nuclear modification factor of charged pions, kaons, and protons in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Transverse momentum (pT) spectra of pions, kaons, and protons up to pT = 20 GeV/c have been measured in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV using the ALICE detector for six different centrality classes covering 0%–80%. The proton-to-pion and the kaon-to-pion ratios both show a distinct peak at pT ≈ 3 GeV/c in central Pb-Pbcollisionsthatdecreasesformoreperipheralcollisions.ForpT >10GeV/c,then uclear modification factor is found to be the same for all three particle species in each centrality interval within systematic uncertainties of 10%–20%. This suggests there is no direct interplay between ...Daha fazlası

Neutral pion production at midrapidity in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Invariant yields of neutral pions at midrapidity in the transverse momentum range 0.6 < pT < 12 GeV/c measured in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV are presented for six centrality classes. The pp reference spectrum was measured in the range 0.4 < pT < 10 GeV/c at the same centerof-mass energy. The nuclear modification factor, RAA, shows a suppression of neutral pions in central Pb–Pb collisions by a factor of up to about 8−10 for 5 pT 7 GeV/c. The presented measurements are compared with results at lower center-of-mass energies and with theoretical calculations

Determination and Comparision of Parents’ Having Children With Cerebral Palsy Self- Efficacy Level

AŞKIN CERAN, Merve | CEYLAN, Burcu

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the self- efficacy levels of the parents of children with cerebral palsy (CP) and compare their parental self- efficacy levels. Methods: The sample group of this descriptive study consisted of 153 parents of children diagnosed with CP (106 mothers, and 47 fathers), who were attending to four special education and rehabilitation centres affiliated to the Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education. Of these parents, 47 were couples. Data of the study was collected using the Introductory Information Form and the Parental Self-Efficacy Scale (PSES ...Daha fazlası

KIZILKAYA BEJİ, Nezihe | GÜNGÖR, İlkay | ONAT, Güliz | AYYILDIZ ERKAN, Habibe | GÖKYILDIZ, Şule | YALÇIN, Önay

Aim: The study aimed to identify risk factors for urinary incontinence in women over 20 years of age in Istanbul. Design: The study was designed as a descriptive, retrospective, case control study. Methods: The study was conducted in a urogynecological unit at a university hospital in Istanbul. In total, 367 incontinent women who visited the urogynecological unit, and 401 continent women who visited outpatient clinics with other gynecological symptoms were included. Data were gathered via face-to-face interviews, using a questionnaire on risk factors for urinary incontinence. Adjusted odds rat ...Daha fazlası

The effects of pelvic floor muscle training combined with Kinesio taping on bladder symptoms, pelvic floor muscle strength, and quality of life in women with overactive bladder syndrome: A randomized sham-controlled trial

TOPRAK ÇELENAY, Şeyda | KORKUT, Zehra | OSKAY, Kemal | AYDIN, Arif

ABSTRACT Background: There is insufficient study using Kinesio taping (KT) in bladder problems. Objectives: To investigate the effects of pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) combined with KT on bladder symptoms, pelvic floor muscle strength, and quality of life in women with overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome and compare this combination with PFMT plus sham tape (ST). Methods: Women with OAB were randomly allocated into PFMT+KT and PFMT+ST groups. All patients were given PFMT for 6 weeks and applied taping according to groups. Before and after treatment, the OAB symptoms with the Overactive Bla ...Daha fazlası

An integrated fuzzy AHP/DEA approach for performance evaluation of territorial units in Turkey

ÇALIK, Ahmet | YAPICI PEHLİVAN, Nimet | KAHRAMAN, Cengiz

Due to the differences between regions and sub-regions in the countries, some problems come out especially in economic and social life. The issue of differences of regions has been widely implemented to evaluate the economic performance of Turkey in many disciplines. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the efficiency of 26 sub-regions of NUTS-2 classification using integration Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The integrated FAHP/DEA method comprises two stages. In the first stage, linguistic terms are used to determine the decision makers’ op ...Daha fazlası
