Differential studies of inclusive J/ψ and ψ(2S) production at forward rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN =2.76TeV

The production of J/ψ and ψ(2S) was studied with the ALICE detector in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC. The measurement was performed at forward rapidity (2.5 < y < 4) down to zero transverse momentum (pt) in the dimuon decay channel. Inclusive J/ψ yields were extracted in different centrality classes and the centrality dependence of the average pt is presented. The J/ψ suppression, quantified with the nuclear modification factor (RAA), was measured as a function of centrality, transverse momentum and rapidity. Evaluation of University Students’ Nutritional Knowledge Attitudes and Behaviors

Objectives: In this study, nutritional habits of students, knowledge attitudes and behaviors about healthy nutrition will be evaluated. Materials and Methods: The sample comprised 818 students enrolled in the departments of the School of Health Sciences and the bachelor’s programs offered by the Faculty of Medicine. The developed data collection form consists of 52 questions. Hypoxia induced factor-1a levels in patients undergoing adenoidectomy

Among the most common causes of nasal congestion in childhood is adenoid hypertrophy (AH) which leads to hypoxia. In this study, we studied plasma concentrations of hypoxia induced factor-1α (HIF-1α) in children undergoing adenoidectomy. The study included a total of 86 participants: 39 patients with AH and 47 healthy individuals. Serum HIF-1α levels (ng/mL) were measured by ELISA. HIF-1α concentrations were compared to the adenoid-nasopharyngeal ratio (ANR) of patients with AH, as recorded in the medical records. Exclusive J/ψ photoproduction off protons in ultra-peripheral p-Pb collisions at sNN−−−√=5.02 TeV

We present the first measurement at the LHC of exclusive J=ψ photoproduction off protons, in pffiffiffiffiffiffiffi ultraperipheral proton-lead collisions at sNN 1⁄4 5.02 TeV. Events are selected with a dimuon pair produced either in the rapidity interval, in the laboratory frame, 2.5 < y < 4 (p-Pb) or −3.6 < y < −2.6 (Pb-p), and no other particles observed in the ALICE acceptance. Λ+c production in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN=5.02 TeV

A measurement of the production of prompt Λ+c baryons in Pb-Pb collisions at sNN−−−√=5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC is reported. The Λ+c and Λ¯¯¯¯−c were reconstructed at midrapidity (|y|< 0.5) via the hadronic decay channel Λ+c→pK0S (and charge conjugate) in the transverse momentum and centrality intervals 6< pT< 12 GeV/c and 0-80%. The Λ+c/D0 ratio, which is sensitive to the charm quark hadronisation mechanisms in the medium, is measured and found to be larger than the ratio measured in minimum-bias pp collisions at s√=7 TeV and in p-Pb collisions at sNN−−−√=5.02 TeV. The production of electrons from heavy-flavour hadron decays was measured as a function of transverse momentum (pT) in minimum-bias p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV using the ALICE detector at the LHC. The measurement covers the pT interval 0.5 < pT < 12 GeV/c and the rapidity range −1.065 < ycms < 0.135 in the centre-of-mass reference frame. Charged-particle production as a function of multiplicity and transverse spherocity in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV

We present a study of the inclusive charged- particle transverse momentum ( pT ) spectra as a function of charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-pseudorapidity, d Nch /dη, in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV covering the kinematic range |η| < 0.8 and 0.15 < pT < 20 GeV/c. The results are presented for events with at least one charged particle in |η| < 1 (INEL > 0). The pT spectra are reported for two multiplicity estimators covering different pseudo- rapidity regions.
