The hologram is a hallucinative image that produced virtually in yellow spot (macula lutea) and embedded in the physical environment with the help of photons. The hardware that creates hallucinative image is a portable head mounted holographic platform computer. The holographic platform computer senses the physical environment with the help of integrated cameras, sensors and lenses on it. The computer processes the information of the physical environment and integrates the information of the virtual environment into the physical environment and presents a holographic image to the user. In this ...Daha fazlası
Henry Lefebvre builds the production of space on three moments. These are perceived, conceived and experienced spaces. These three moments conceptually correspond to space practice, space representation, and representational spaces. Edward Soja develops his concept of thirdspace on Lefebvre’s three moments. Third space is the intersection and even combination of perceived and conceived space. The intersection and combination is lived and experienced space. He defines trialectics of being and trialectics of spatiality by setting out a voyage through Lefebvre’s works. He addresses to Foucault’s ...Daha fazlası
While architecture offers spaces to produce cinema in, cinema simultaneously makes the existence of these spaces visible, using them as a material. Concurrently, space becomes the subject of cinema, too. Documentary films about architecture, illustrate this point clearly and show synchronicity with the space. The Infinite Happiness- which is a part of the Living Architecture series directed by Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine, is one of the documentaries that illustrate this association. The subject of the documentary is the “8 House”, a building designed by Bjarke Ingels, and it is described from ...Daha fazlası
Music is liquid architecture; Architecture is frozen music. " (Goethe) In art and science, the process of production exists in two different ways. The first one is an action that can be measured, experimented and supported by technical and practical processes and gives precise results. The second one is also an action which is based on experiences and sourced from relations, meaning and context. The second one cannot be measured technically but it can be fictionalized intuitively. 1 However, in disciplines involving design such as architecture, it can be seen that these two production processe ...Daha fazlası
Urban designers and architectures have to clearly understand the physical features and needs of the people they are designing for. In the designing process fields such as anthropometry, biomechanics, ergonomy, biology and physics require scientific verification to architects. But it can easily be forgotten that there are physicallychallenged persons. All users perceive and experience any place by using their ability to move and perceive. If designers don‟t take into account the special circumstances in the design process for physically-challenged persons, the accessibility of the place becomes ...Daha fazlası
This study aims at presenting the study of experiencing place conducted with undergraduates studying architecture within the scope of the course of Architecture Studio 4. The undergraduates were asked to design a culture street in their campus. They were assigned to design 40 rooms for faculty members, 10 rooms for student clubs and societies, book selling space and seminar hall for 50 people. Before the design, an experiential study with design area and users was set up with undergraduates. The undergraduates were separated into two groups. They were given 45 minutes. They moved as groups in ...Daha fazlası
Heterotopia is a rich concept identified by Foucault to represent highly real spaces against utopia. The term consists of combination of topos and hetero meaning place and different, respectively. It appears to be a medical term especially after the 1920s, and describes the fact that an organ is in a different place than it should be i. While defining the term, Şentürk places Albred Dürer's rhinoceros as a reality in the cross section of the fantasy, and regards the horn as a heterotopia ii Different interpretations astonish about heterotopia and it effects a range of disciplines including arc ...Daha fazlası
