Systematic studies of correlations between different order flow harmonics in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The correlations between event-by-event fluctuations of anisotropic flow harmonic amplitudes have been measured in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV with the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The results are reported in terms of multiparticle correlation observables dubbed symmetric cumulants. These observables are robust against biases originating from nonflow effects. The centrality dependence of correlations between the higher order harmonics (the quadrangular v4 and pentagonal v5 flow) and the lower order harmonics (the elliptic v2 and triangular v3 flow) is presented. The tra ...Daha fazlası

An anatomic study of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve in human fetuses

FAZLIOĞULLARI, Zeliha | UYSAL, İsmihan İlknur | DOĞAN, Nadire Ünver | KARABULUT, Ahmet Kağan | ZİYLAN, Taner

Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the anatomic course of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN) and its branches in relation to certain anatomic landmarks in human fetuses. Methods: This study was performed on 50 thighs from 25 spontaneously aborted fetuses with no detectable malformations. The LFCN position was evaluated according to its relation to the anterior superior iliac spine and its distance from the femoral nerve and femoral artery were measured along the inguinal ligament (IL). The relationship between the LFCN and femoral nerve in the pelvic cavity was also eval ...Daha fazlası

Investigation Of Applications Of Fibonacci Sequence And Golden Ratio In Music

BAKIM, Sümeyye | YÖRE, Seyit

In studies presented in the literature, relationships between music and mathematics can sometimes be observed. Leonardo Fibonacci (1170-1250) is well known in mathematics with the Fibonacci Sequence and this sequence used to identify numbers in various music elements, too. In related studies, these numbers have been used to demonstrate the existence of the ‘Golden Ratio’ using methods and theories borrowed from the components of music. Nevertheless, this relationship has subsequently been seen inaccurate. The studies that previously based some works of Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Bartó ...Daha fazlası

Charged jet cross section and fragmentation in proton-proton collisions pffiffi at s=7TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Azimuthally-differential femtoscopic measurements, being sensitive to spatio-temporal characteristics of the source as well as to the collective velocity fields at freeze out, provide very important information on the nature and dynamics of the system evolution. While the HBT radii oscillations relative to the second harmonic event plane measured recently reflect mostly the spatial geometry of the source, model studies have shown that the HBT radii oscillations relative to the third harmonic event plane are predominantly defined by the velocity fields. In this Letter, we present the first resu ...Daha fazlası

Flow Dominance and Factorization of Transverse Momentum Correlations in Pb-Pb Collisions at the LHC

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We present the first measurement of the two-particle transverse momentum differential correlation function, P2 ≡ h∆pT∆pTi/hpTi 2 , in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV. Results for P2 are reported as a function of relative pseudorapidity (∆η) and azimuthal angle (∆ϕ) between two particles for different collision centralities. The ∆φ dependence is found to be largely independent of ∆η for |∆η| ≥ 0.9. In 5% most central Pb–Pb collisions, the two-particle transverse momentum correlation function exhibits a clear double-hump structure around ∆ϕ = π (i.e., on the away side), which is not observed ...Daha fazlası

Cue Based Feeding

KURT SEZER, Hilal | KÜÇÜKOĞLU, Sibel

The problems such as feeding difficulties, insufficient caloric intake, developmental delay, prolonged discharge time, the care burden and increased costs in preterm infants arise because of the non-simultaneous sucking, swallowing and breathing cycle, inability to control these multiple systems and the presence of swallowing and respiratory function in the common area. To ensure adequate nutrient and calorie deficit in premature babies reduce both growth retardation and mortality caused from prematurity and also shorten the time of hospitalization. In the past, the feeding of newborns was eva ...Daha fazlası

Measurement of Upsilon(1S) Elliptic Flow at Forward Rapidity in Pb-Pb Collisions at sNN = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The first measurement of the Υð1SÞ elliptic flow coefficient (v2) is performed at forward rapidity (2.5 < y < 4) in Pb–Pb collisions at sNN 1⁄4 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The results are obtained with the scalar product method and are reported as a function of transverse momentum (pT ) up to 15 GeV=c in the 5%–60% centrality interval. The measured Upsilon is consistent with 0 and with the small positive values predicted by transport models within uncertainties. The v2 coefficient in 2 < pT < 15 GeV=c is lower than that of inclusive J=ψ mesons in the same pT interval by 2.6 st ...Daha fazlası

Measuring K0K± interactions using Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76STeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We present the first ever measurements of femtoscopic correlations between the K0 and K± particles. The analysis was performed on the data from Pb–Pb collisions at sNN = 2.76 TeV measured by the ALICE experiment. The observed femtoscopic correlations are consistent with final-state interactions proceeding via the a0(980) resonance. The extracted kaon source radius and correlation strength parameters for K0 K− are found to be equal within the experimental uncertainties to those for K0 K+ . Comparing the S S results of the present study with those from published identical-kaon femtoscopic studie ...Daha fazlası

Two-pion femtoscopy in p-Pb collisions at √sN N = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We report the results of the femtoscopic analysis of pairs of identical pions measured in p-Pb collisions at sNN = 5.02 TeV. Femtoscopic radii are determined as a function of event multiplicity and pair momentum in three spatial dimensions. As in the pp collision system, the analysis is complicated by the presence of sizable background correlation structures in addition to the femtoscopic signal. The radii increase with event multiplicity and decrease with pair transverse momentum. When taken at comparable multiplicity, the radii measured in p-Pb collisions, at high multiplicity and low pair t ...Daha fazlası
