Electroweak boson measurements in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with ALICE at the LHC

The ALICE collaboration has measured the electroweak boson production at forward rapidity in Pb-Pb and p-Pb collisions at root S-NN = 5.02 TeV. Final results on the Z(0) boson production in Pb-Pb collisions are presented as a function of centrality and rapidity. Calculations based on free parton distribution functions overestimate the measurement up to 3 sigma. In addition, final results on W-+/- and Z(0) bosons production in p-Pb collisions at the same energy will be presented and discussed.

ALICE results on system-size dependence of charged-particle multiplicity density in p-Pb, Pb-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions

Particle production at LHC energies involves the interplay of hard (perturbative) and soft (non-perturbative) QCD processes. Global observables, such as the charged-particle multiplicity, are related to the initial geometry and the energy density produced in the collision. Energy and system dependence of nuclear modification factors of inclusive charged particles and identified light hadrons measured in p-Pb, Xe-Xe and Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE

We report recent ALICE results on primary charged particle and neutral meson production in pp, p-Pb, Pb-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions at LHC energies. In this article, measurements of the nuclear modification factors RAA of primary charged particles and of light neutral mesons in Pb-Pb, in Xe-Xe and in p-Pb collisions in a wide p(T) range and different centrality classes are discussed. Measurement of charged jet production cross sections and nuclear modification in p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV

Charged jet production cross sections in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC are presented. Using the anti-k(T) algorithm, jets have been reconstructed in the central rapidity region from charged particles with resolution parameters R = 0.2 and R = 0.4. The reconstructed jets have been corrected for detector effects and the underlying event background. To calculate the nuclear modification factor, R-pPb, of charged jets in p-Pb collisions, a pp reference was constructed by scaling previously measured charged jet spectra at root s = 7 TeV. Measurements of the chiral magnetic effect in Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE

We present the measurement of the charge-dependent 3-particle azimuthal correlation for unidentified charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions at root S-NN = 5.02 TeV in ALICE. The results are compared with corresponding results from Pb-Pb collisions at root S-NN = 2.76 TeV. We observe no significant difference in the charge-sensitive 3-particle correlator (gamma(112)) between the two collision energies. Charged-dependent mixed-harmonic correlator (gamma(132)) is also presented and compared with the predictions from a blast-wave model incorporating local charge conservation.
