Flood Modeling by GIS Tools

In this study flood risks of Samsun Degirmen stream determinate by MIKE 11 and GIS. In this study, MIKE powered by DHI software used for numerical 1D modeling of study area. The hydrological and hydraulic data for the study area were obtained from the Turkish General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works. ArcGIS program was used for creating a triangulated irregular network data (TIN). The flood inundation maps demonstrated that some areas, from the upstream to downstream of the Degirmen stream basin is affected from 100 year and 500 year return period events.

Determination of COVID-19 Phobia Level in Health Care Workers

The aim of this study is to determine the COVID-19 phobia level in healthcare workers. The socio-demographic characteristics form and the Coronavirus 19 Phobia (CP19-S) Scale were used as data collection tools. The surveys were shared online on social media. 467 healthcare workers who agreed to participate in the study were reached. Employees who got 55.30 ± 14.64 points from the scale total scores and university graduates were found to have an average of 55.51 ± 14.11, and their families averaged 57.84 ± 15.05. Background: We aimed to determine the geographical features and seroprevalence of Borrelia burgdorferi in Erzincan, Turkey, which has a high tick population due to its geographical position and climatic conditions. Methods: From January to December 2014, 368 people living in Erzincan, northeastern Turkey were enrolled. B. burgdorferi IgG antibodies were investigated in the collected serum samples using the ELISA method in 2015. Positive and borderline results were confirmed using the Western Blot (WB) method.
