Transverse momentum spectra and nuclear modification factors of charged particles in pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC

We report the measured transverse momentum (pT) spectra of primary charged particles from pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy √sNN = 5.02 TeV in the kinematic range of 0.15 < pT < 50 GeV/c and |η| < 0.8. A significant improvement of systematic uncertainties motivated the reanalysis of data in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV, as well as in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV, which is also presented. The effects of degassing, grain refinement & Sr-addition on melt quality-hot tear sensitivity relationships in cast A380 aluminum alloy

Hot tearing tendency of A380 with various element additions (Sr, Sr+Ti, Ti, B and B+Sr) was investigated. Constrained rod casting (CRC) hot tearing test method was used to characterize the hot tearing sensitivity. Reduced pressure test (RPT) samples were produced from each condition and all trials were repeated three times. Number density of pores on the cross section of RPT samples was calculated via digital image processing and statistical analysis was carried out. Emerging intercultural identity in the Turkish EFL context

The paper argues that for individuals to develop intercultural identity, they do not necessarily need to experience intercultural experiences. A questionnaire devised by the author is administered to 227 Turkish learners of English aged 19-23. The findings of self-reported responses to a 37-item questionnaire as well as the qualitative data reveal that learners feel they have a slightly different identity and that English is an asset, a passport to a world of new experiences in socialization and cross-cultural communication. Aim: Hypnosis is used in Complementary Medical Treatments. Our aim is to assess whether hypnosis is a side effect by evaluating effect in vital signs. Vital signs change in pathologic conditions. Fever, pulse, blood pressure and number of breaths is a good indicator of side effect evaluation. Electrochemical polymerization of a new alkoxy-bridged dithieno (3,2-B:2’,3’-D) pyrrole derivative

A novel alkoxy-bridged dithieno (3, 2-B:2’,3’-D) pyrrole (DTP) derivative was synthesized and its corresponding polymer poly(1,2-bis(2-(4H-dithieno[3,2-b:2’,3’-d]pyrrol-4-yl)ethoxy)ethane) (P(DTP-alkoxy-DTP)) was successfully obtained electrochemically. The e ﬀ ects of alkoxy bridge in the structure on the electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of the polymer were also investigated in detail. The results showed that the polymer ﬁ lm exhibits multielectrochromic behavior and a low band gap of 1.82 eV.
