Forward-backward multiplicity correlations in pp collisions at √s = 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV

The strength of forward-backward (FB) multiplicity correlations is measured √ s = 0.9, 2.76 and 7TeV. The measurement is performed in the central pseudorapidity region (|η| < 0.8) for the transverse momentum pT > 0.3GeV/c. Two separate pseudorapidity windows of width (δη) ranging from 0.2 to 0.8 are chosen symmetrically around η = 0. The multiplicity correlation strength (bcorr) is studied as a function of the pseudorapidity gap (ηgap) between the two windows as well as the width of these windows. Centrality dependence of inclusive J/ψ production in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV

We present a measurement of inclusive J/ψ production in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02TeV as a function of the centrality of the collision, as estimated from the energy deposited in the Zero Degree Calorimeters. The measurement is performed with the ALICE detector down to zero transverse momentum, pT, in the backward (−4.46 < ycms < −2.96) and forward (2.03 < ycms < 3.53) rapidity intervals in the dimuon decay channel and in the mid-rapidity region (−1.37 < ycms < 0.43) in the dielectron decay channel. Measurement of electrons from semileptonic heavy-flavor hadron decays in p p collisions at √ s = 2.76     TeV

The pT-differential production cross section of electrons from semileptonic decays of heavy-flavor hadrons has been measured at midrapidity in proton-proton collisions at s 1⁄4 2.76 TeV in the transverse momentum range 0.5 < pT < 12 GeV=c with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The analysis was performed using minimum bias events and events triggered by the electromagnetic calorimeter. Predictions from perturbative QCD calculations agree with the data within the theoretical and experimental uncertainties.

The measurement of primary π ± , K ± , p and p production at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.5) in proton–proton col- lisions at √s = 7 TeV performed with a large ion collider experiment at the large hadron collider (LHC) is reported. Measurement of jet quenching with semi-inclusive hadron-jet distributions in central Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

We report the measurement of a new observable of jet quenching in central Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV, based on the semi-inclusive rate of charged jets recoiling from a high transverse momentum (high-pT) charged hadron trigger. Jets are measured using collinear-safe jet reconstruction with infrared cutoff for jet constituents of 0.15 GeV, for jet resolution parameters R = 0.2, 0.4 and 0.5. The production of charged pions, kaons and (anti)protons has been measured at mid-rapidity (−0.5 < y < 0) in p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV using the ALICE detector at the LHC. Measurement of charged jet production cross sections and nuclear modification in p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV

Charged jet production cross sections in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC are presented. Using the anti-k(T) algorithm, jets have been reconstructed in the central rapidity region from charged particles with resolution parameters R = 0.2 and R = 0.4. The reconstructed jets have been corrected for detector effects and the underlying event background. Elliptic flow of identified hadrons in Pb-Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV

The elliptic flow coefficient (v2) of identified particles in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV was measured with the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The results were obtained with the Scalar Product method, a two-particle corre- lation technique, using a pseudo-rapidity gap of |∆η| > 0.9 between the identified hadron under study and the reference particles. Centrality dependence of high-pT D meson suppression in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

The nuclear modification factor, RAA, of the prompt charmed mesons D0, D+ and D∗+, and their antiparticles, was measured with the ALICE detector in Pb-Pb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy √sNN = 2.76 TeV in two transverse momentum intervals, 5 < pT < 8GeV/c and 8 < pT < 16GeV/c, and in six collision centrality classes. The RAA shows a maximum suppression of a factor of 5–6 in the 10% most central collisions. The suppression and its centrality dependence are compatible within uncertainties with those of charged pions.
