İdrac ve Hadisçilere Göre İdracın Sözlük ve Terim Manası Arasındaki İlişki

ALKARAZ, Alaa Aldeen

Abstract In the study, the definition of idrac, the relationship between its dictionary and technical meanings of this word have been discussed. In fact, idrac is studied in two parts, because there is no common point in the scholars' description of idrac. These were pointed out a little in this study, and the parts of the idrac have been stated. While İdracu’l-text is divided into three parts, idracu’s-sened is divided into five. Each of the chapters is explained with its own example and examined. In addition, the reasons of idrac are explained, all of them are explained with examples, and mo ...Daha fazlası

Quality function deployment: An application on determining the quality factors in higher education

GÜNDÜZ, Mehmet Akif

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a method developed in the 1970’s in Japan by Dr. Yoji Akao and with later contributions of Shigeru Mizuno. QFD is adopted all over the world following a number of successful applications in Japan and has been applied very widely until today. This term has been translated to English as "Quality Function Deployment" from original Japanese name "Ten Kai Hin Shits Ki No". The most basic purpose of QFD is to design the functions which product performs according to the needs and requirements of customers. The aim of this study is to apply QFD in a university in T ...Daha fazlası

The Effect of Hypnosis on Systolic Blood Pressure

SUNAR, Füsun | SOLAK GÖRMÜŞ, Zülfikare Işık

Hypnosis is frequently used in numerous fields of complementary medical treatments. Blood pressure is an important vital sign. The changes manifest itself with hypo/ hypertension. Hypertension is a common and important health problem in society. Our aim is to evaluate the effect of hypnosis on blood pressure in healthy volunteers and to make a preliminary study for treatment of hypertensive patients. Healthy twelve volunteers, six women and six men, aged between 18 - 65 years were included after getting ethical permits and consent. The room selected for hypnosis was quiet and room temperature ...Daha fazlası

Correlation of neutrophil/lymphocyte and platelet/lymphocyte ratios with the severity of idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome

GÜNEŞ, Muzaffer | BÜYÜKGÖL, Hüseyin

Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the correlation of the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet/lymphocyte ratio with the severity of idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Methods: A total of 407 patients with idiopathic CTS (neurophysiologically 150 mild, 144 moderate, and 113 severe) and 206 subjects without CTS were included (control group). Results: There was a positive correlation between the severity of CTS and NLR (r = 0.224; P < 0.001), age (r = 0.333; P < 0.001), and body mass index (r = 0.251; P < 0.001). A 1-unit increase in NLR level was associa ...Daha fazlası

Production of charged pions, kaons and protons at large transverse momenta in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Transverse momentum spectra of π±, K± and p(p ̄) up to pT = 20 GeV/c at mid-rapidity in pp, peripheral (60–80%) and central (0–5%) Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV have been measured using the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The proton-to-pion and the kaon-to-pion ratios both show a distinct peak at pT ≈ 3 GeV/c in central Pb–Pb collisions. Below the peak, pT < 3 GeV/c, both ratios are in good agreement with hydrodynamical calculations, suggesting that the peak itself is dominantly the result of radial flow rather than anomalous hadronization processes. For pT > 10 GeV/c partic ...Daha fazlası

3ΛH and 3Λ¯ production in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The production of the hypertriton nuclei 3ΛH and 3Λ¯ has been measured for the first time in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV with the ALICE experiment at LHC. The pT-integrated 3 !H yield in one unity of rapidity, dN/dy × B.R. ! 3 !H→3He,π−" = (3.86 ± 0.77(stat.) ± 0.68(syst.)) × 10−5 in the 0–10% most central collisions, is consistent with the predictions from a statistical thermal model using the same temperature as for the light hadrons. The coalescence parameter B3 shows a dependence on the transverse momentum, similar to the B2 of deuterons and the B3 of 3He nuclei. The ratio of yield ...Daha fazlası

Dielectron measurements in pp and Pb-Pb colllisions with ALICE at the LHC

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The production of low-mass dielectrons is one of the most promising tools for the investigation of chiral symmetry restoration and thermal radiation from the QGP created in heavy-ion collisions. To single out the signal characteristics of the QGP, it is crucial to understand the primordial e+e− pair production in vacuum, i.e. in inelastic proton-proton (pp) collisions. Low-mass dielectrons have been measured with ALICE at the LHC in pp collisions at √s = 7 and 13 TeV, and in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV. An overview of the results on dielectron production is presented, together with the ...Daha fazlası

Image Quality Assessment Metrics Combining Structural Similarity and Image Fidelity with Visual Attention

MENDİ, Engin

Image quality assessment has a great importance in several image processing applications. Recently, various objective image quality metrics have been proposed in order to predict human visual perception. In this paper, novel image quality metrics, S-SSIM (saliency-based structural similarity index) and S-VIF (saliency-based visual information fidelity), are proposed based on a visual attention model extracting frequency-tuned salient region. Saliency maps are produced from the color and luminance features of the image. SSIM and VIF in pixel domain are modified by the weighting factors of the s ...Daha fazlası

Charged jet cross sections and properties in proton-proton collisions at root s=7 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The differential charged jet cross sections, jet fragmentation distributions, and jet shapes are measured in pffiffi minimum bias proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energy s 1⁄4 7 TeV using the ALICE detector at the LHC. Jets are reconstructed from charged particle momenta in the midrapidity region using the sequential recombination kT and anti-kT as well as the SISCone jet finding algorithms with several resolution parameters in the range R 1⁄4 0.2–0.6. Differential jet production cross sections measured with the three jet finders are in agreement in the transverse momentum (p ) inter ...Daha fazlası

K∗(892)0 and φ(1020) production in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The yields of the K∗(892)0 and φ(1020) resonances are measured in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV through their hadronic decays using the ALICE detector. The measurements are performed in multiple centrality intervals at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.5) in the transverse-momentum ranges 0.3 < pT < 5 GeV/c for the K∗(892)0 and 0.5 < pT < 5 GeV/c for the φ(1020). The yields of K∗(892)0 are suppressed in central Pb-Pb collisions with respect to pp and peripheral Pb-Pb collisions (perhaps due to rescattering of its decay products in the hadronic medium), while the longer-lived φ(1020) meson is not sup ...Daha fazlası
