In this letter, we propose a novel method for unsupervised change detection in multitemporal multispectral Landsat images using multiobjective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA). The proposed method minimizes two different objective functions using MOEA to provide tradeoff between each other. The objective functions are used for evaluating changed and unchanged regions of the difference image separately. The difference image is obtained by using the structural similarity index measure method, which provides combination of the comparisons of luminance, contrast, and structure between two images. By ...Daha fazlası
In this paper, a novel method for generation of multiple description (MD) wavelet based image coding is proposed by using Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms (MOEAs). Complexity of the multimedia transmission problem has been increased for MD coders if an input image is affected by any type of noise. In this case, it is necessary to solve two different problems which are designing the optimal side quantizers and estimating optimal parameters of the denoising filter. Existing MD coding (MDC) generation methods are capable of solving only one problem which is to design side quantizers from t ...Daha fazlası

This paper introduces a new image-based handwritten historical digit dataset named Arkiv Digital Sweden (ARDIS). The images in ARDIS dataset are extracted from 15,000 Swedish church records which were written by different priests with various handwriting styles in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The constructed dataset consists of three single-digit datasets and one-digit string dataset. The digit string dataset includes 10,000 samples in red–green–blue color space, whereas the other datasets contain 7600 single-digit images in different color spaces. An extensive analysis of machine l ...Daha fazlası
The aim of this work was to formulate an empirical model using the data of the electrochemical treatment of cattle slaughterhouse wastewater. The empirical model was developed using response surface methodology with optimal design considering an irregular process space. As operational factors, current density, influent pH, flow rate, supporting electrolyte (NaCl or Na2SO4) concentrations, and H2O2 concentrations were examined. Under these circumstances, the aim was to represent the optimal region shown generally as a surface by obtaining the lowest possible value of chemical oxygen demand (COD ...Daha fazlası

In this study, a photo-bioelectrochemical fuel cell was constructed for photocurrent generation by illuminating the electrodes within an aqueous solution. In this purpose, gold electrode was coated with poly 4-(4H-Dithieno [3,2-b:2′,3′-d]pyrol-4-yl) aniline, P(DTP-Ph-NH2) conductive polymer fi lm by using electrochemical polymerization. Then, P(DTP-Ph-NH2) conductive polymer fi lm coated surface was electrochemically modi fi ed with cytochrome C which covalently linked onto the surface via bis-aniline functionality of the polymer fi lm and formed crosslinked-structure. The thylakoid membrane was a ...Daha fazlası

In this study, gold electrodes (GE) were coated with conducting polymers to obtain a high photocurrent using cyanobacteria from a novel bioelectrochemical fuel cell. For this purpose, 4‐(4H‐ditiheno[3,2‐b:2',3'‐d]pyrol‐4‐yl) aniline and 5‐(4H‐dithieno[3,2‐b:2',3'‐d]pyrol‐4‐yl) napthtalane‐1‐amine monomers were coated on GE by performing an electropolymerization process. After that, gold nanoparticles (AuNP) were specifically modified by 2‐mercaptoethane sulfonic acid and p‐aminothiophenol to attach to the electrode surface. The conducting polymers GE coat was modified with functionalized AuNP ...Daha fazlası
We report measurements of the primary charged-particle pseudorapidity density and transverse momentum distributions in p-Pb collisions at sNN=5.02TeV and investigate their correlation with experimental observables sensitive to the centrality of the collision. Centrality classes are defined by using different event-activity estimators, i.e., charged-particle multiplicities measured in three different pseudorapidity regions as well as the energy measured at beam rapidity (zero degree). The procedures to determine the centrality, quantified by the number of participants (Npart) or the number of n ...Daha fazlası
Measurements of inclusive and direct photon production at midrapidity in pp collisions at s=2.76 and 8 TeV are presented by the ALICE experiment at the LHC. The results are reported in transverse momentum ranges of 0.4
Charged jet production cross sections in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC are presented. Using the anti-k(T) algorithm, jets have been reconstructed in the central rapidity region from charged particles with resolution parameters R = 0.2 and R = 0.4. The reconstructed jets have been corrected for detector effects and the underlying event background. To calculate the nuclear modification factor, R-pPb, of charged jets in p-Pb collisions, a pp reference was constructed by scaling previously measured charged jet spectra at root s = 7 TeV. In the ...Daha fazlası
Multiplicity-dependent measurements of identified particle production led to the discovery of collective-like behavior in pp collisions at the LHC. Better understanding of the effects attributed to well-understood physics, like multiple hard scatterings, is required to establish whether this behaviour is truly collective in origin. Experimentally, those effects can be controlled using event shapes, like transverse spherocity, which allows the classification of pp collisions either as jetty or isotropic events. The transverse momentum (p(T)) spectra of light-flavor hadrons in pp collisions meas ...Daha fazlası
Particle production at LHC energies involves the interplay of hard (perturbative) and soft (non-perturbative) QCD processes. Global observables, such as the charged-particle multiplicity, are related to the initial geometry and the energy density produced in the collision. They are important to characterise relativistic heavy-ion collisions and to constrain model calculations. The LHC produced Xenon-Xenon collisions for the first time in October 2017. New results on the primary charged-particle pseudorapidity density, and its pseudorapidity and centrality dependence are presented for this ligh ...Daha fazlası
