The production of K∗(892)0 and φ(1020) mesons has been measured in p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV. K∗0 and φ are reconstructed via their decay into charged hadrons with the ALICE detector in the rapidity range −0.5 < y < 0. The transverse momentum spectra, mea- sured as a function of the multiplicity, have a pT range from 0 to 15 GeV/c for K∗0 and from 0.3 to 21 GeV/c for φ. Hard splittings in the evolution of a hard scattered parton may be modified by the presence of a dense strongly interacting medium. The ALICE Collaboration at the LHC reports measurement of the inclusive production cross section of electrons from semi-leptonic decays of beauty hadrons with rapidity |y| < 0.8 and transverse momentum 1 < pT < 10 GeV/c, in pp collisions at √ s = 2.76 TeV. The transverse momentum (pT) spectrum and nuclear modification factor (RAA) of reconstructed jets in 0–10% and 10–30% central Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV were measured. Jets were reconstructed using the anti-kT jet algorithm with a resolution parameter of R = 0.2 from charged and neutral particles, utilizing the ALICE tracking detectors and Electromagnetic Calorimeter (EMCal). The multiplicity and pseudorapidity distribu- tions of inclusive photons have been measured at forward rapidities (2.3 < η < 3.9) in proton–proton collisions at three center-of-mass energies, √s = 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV using the ALICE detector. It is observed that the increase in the average photon multiplicity as a function of beam energy is compatible with both a logarithmic and a power-law dependence. Abstract The inclusive production cross sections at for- ward rapidity of J/ψ , ψ (2S), Υ (1S) and Υ (2S) are measured in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The cross section of jets reconstructed from charged particles is measured in the transverse momentum range of 5 < pT < 100 GeV=c in pp collisions at the center-of-mass energy of s 1⁄4 5.02 TeV with theALICE detector. ALICE is the heavy-ion experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The experiment continuously took data during the first physics campaign of the machine from fall 2009 until early 2013, using proton and lead-ion beams. In this paper we describe the running environment and the data handling procedures, and discuss the performance of the ALICE detectors and analysis methods for various physics observables.

The fabrication of amperometric biosensors based on whole cell Gluconobacter oxydans DSMZ 2343 (G. oxydans) and glucose oxidase (GOx) was performed for the detection of glucose. Glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) were coated with a 10-(4H-dithiyeno [3,2-b:2’,3’-d]pyroll-4-il)decan-1-amine (DTP-alkyl-NH2) polymer using an electropolymerization method and the formed interface was used to connect the bacteria and the enzyme to the electrode.
