Alternative System Design for High Temperature Solid Particle Erosion Wear Problem

DEMİRCİ, Musa | BAĞCI, Mehmet

In order to simulate the wear behavior of materials subjected to solid particle erosion due to high temperature as well as velocity effect in operating conditions such as power plants and jet engines, ASTM G76 standard is not sufficient and test rig compliant with ASTM G211-14 standard must be put forward. In this context, a test rig, alternative to existing systems where solid particle erosion wear experiments can be performed in compliance with high temperature (~ 700 °C) and particle impact velocity (~ 150 m/s) conditions, has been designed and produced. In order to ensure the widespread us ...Daha fazlası

Erosion of ceramic coating applications under the influence of APS and HVOF methods

DEMİRCİ, Musa | BAĞCI, Mehmet

The erosion wear of the thermal barrier coating (TBC) application created by the ceramic topcoat effect on the substrate material and the high-temperature resistance has been researched in the study. Solid particle erosion effect has an important role in high-temperature applications such as energy conversion plants, gas turbines, and jet engine blades. In these applications where the ambient temperature varies and high-temperature effect is important, the deformation resistance is an important criterion in TBC’s produced with atmospheric plasma spray (APS) and high-velocity oxy fuel (HVOF) me ...Daha fazlası

Measurement of Λ(1520) production in pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV and p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The production of the Λ(1520) baryonic resonance has been measured at midrapidity in inelastic pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV and in p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV for non-single diffractive events and in multiplicity classes. The resonance is reconstructed through its hadronic decay channel Λ(1520) → pK− and the charge conjugate with the ALICE detector. The integrated yields and mean transverse momenta are calculated from the measured transverse momentum distributions in pp and p–Pb collisions. The mean transverse momenta follow mass ordering as previously observed for other hyperons in th ...Daha fazlası

Erratum to: Insight into particle production mechanisms via angular correlations of identified particles in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We have identified a mistake in how Fig. 1 is referenced in the text of the article Eur. Phys. J. C 77 (2017) no. 8, 569 which affected three paragraphs of the results section. The corrected three paragraphs as well as the unmodified accompanying figure are reproduced in this document with the correct labeling. In addition, an editing issue led to a missing acknowledgements section. The missing section is reproduced at the end of this document in the manner in which it should have appeared in the published article.
