Subtype distribution and molecular characterization of Blastocystis from hemodialysis patients in Turkey.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the Blastocystis prevalence and subtypes in hemodialysis patients in Turkey. Methodology: Eighty-four patients diagnosed with end-stage renal failure who were undergoing hemodialysis and 20 healthy volunteers were enrolled. Blastocystis presence was investigated by native-Lugol, trichrome staining, PCR using STS primers, and DNA sequencing analysis. Non-linear flow modes of identified particles in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV

The pT-differential non-linear flow modes, v4,22, v5,32, v6,33 and v6,222 for π ±, K±, K0 S , p + p, Λ + Λ and φ-meson have been measured for the first time at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV in Pb-Pb collisions with the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The results were obtained with a multi-particle technique, correlating the identified hadrons with reference charged particles from a different pseudorapidity region. Measurement of Λ(1520) production in pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV and p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV

The production of the Λ(1520) baryonic resonance has been measured at midrapidity in inelastic pp collisions at √ s = 7 TeV and in p–Pb collisions at √ sNN = 5.02 TeV for non-single diffractive events and in multiplicity classes. The resonance is reconstructed through its hadronic decay channel Λ(1520) → pK− and the charge conjugate with the ALICE detector. The integrated yields and mean transverse momenta are calculated from the measured transverse momentum distributions in pp and p–Pb collisions. The production of K∗(892)0 and φ(1020) mesons has been measured in p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV. K∗0 and φ are reconstructed via their decay into charged hadrons with the ALICE detector in the rapidity range −0.5 < y < 0. The transverse momentum spectra, measured as a function of the multiplicity, have a pT range from 0 to 15 GeV/c for K∗0 and from 0.3 to 21 GeV/c for φ.
