Change Detection in Multispectral Landsat Images Using Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms

In this letter, we propose a novel method for unsupervised change detection in multitemporal multispectral Landsat images using multiobjective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA). The proposed method minimizes two different objective functions using MOEA to provide tradeoff between each other. The objective functions are used for evaluating changed and unchanged regions of the difference image separately. The transverse momentum distributions of the strange and double-strange hyperon resonances ( Sigma ( 1385)(+/-), Xi ( 1530)(0)) produced in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV were measured in the rapidity range -0.5 < yCMS < 0 for event classes corresponding to different charged-particle multiplicity densities, < dN(ch)/d eta(lab)> . Clinically Significant Thyroid Metastasis of Lung Cancer: A Rare Case Report

Although thyroid tumors are commonly primary, metastases are extremely rare. We report a rare case of metastatic adenocarcinoma of primary lung origin presenting as a solitary thyroid nodule. A 55-year-old female housewife with no significant past medical history, admitted to our emergency department, complained of anterior neck swelling and dyspnea for one month. The review paper entitled “The Essential Medicinal Chemistry of Curcumin”, published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, by Nelson et al. (1) is a well-designed paper, presenting a new (and negative) approach to the well-known biologically active compound; curcumin. Although some arguments throughout this paper are completely true, the approach of the authors is unfortunately far from impartial, and many of the conclusions the authors draw from some of their referred papers are especially hard to accept.
