Fluoroscopy-guided genicular nerves pulsed radiofrequency for chronic knee pain treatment

ARICAN, Şule | HACIBEYOĞLU, Gülçin | AKKOYUN SERT, Özlem | TUNCER UZUN, Sema | REİSLİ, Ruhiye

Objectives: The primary objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Pulsed RF application in the genicular nerve on pain and function in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) and its side effects. Methods: This study was conducted between February 2018 and June 2018. Patients who were previously administered diagnostic blocks were evaluated a day later; a drop of at least 50% in numeric pain scores was considered a positive response, and these patients were included in the Pulsed RF neurotomy procedures. Radiofrequency (RF) cannula was advanced towards targeted nerves under the guida ...Daha fazlası

Systematic review of mycotoxins in food and feeds in Turkey

ÜNÜSAN, Nurhan

Mycotoxins are toxic natural contaminants of food and feeds and are produced by various fungi fromAspergillus,Alternaria,Fusarium, andPenicilliumgenera. Molds and their toxins have attracted much attention worldwide dueto the important economic losses related to their effects on human health and domestic and international trade.Although more than 400 mycotoxins have been identified, most studies have focused on aflatoxins, ochratoxin A,fusarium toxins, zearalenone, patulin, and trichothecenes owing to their relationships with food safety andeconomic losses. In Turkey, the dramatic variations i ...Daha fazlası

Medium modification of the shape of small-radius jets in central Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We present the measurement of a new set of jet shape observables for track- based jets in central Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV. The set of jet shapes includes the first radial moment or angularity, g, the momentum dispersion, pTD, and the differ- ence between the leading and sub-leading constituent track transverse momentum, LeSub. These observables provide complementary information on the jet fragmentation and can constrain different aspects of the theoretical description of jet-medium interactions. The jet shapes were measured for a small resolution parameter R = 0.2 and were fully co ...Daha fazlası

Transverse momentum spectra and nuclear modification factors of charged particles in pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We report the measured transverse momentum (pT) spectra of primary charged particles from pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy √sNN = 5.02 TeV in the kinematic range of 0.15 < pT < 50 GeV/c and |η| < 0.8. A significant improvement of systematic uncertainties motivated the reanalysis of data in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV, as well as in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV, which is also presented. Spectra from Pb-Pb collisions are presented in nine centrality intervals and are compared to a reference spectrum from pp collisions scaled by the number of binary nu ...Daha fazlası

Transverse momentum dependence of D-meson production in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

Abstract: The production of prompt charmed mesons D0, D+ and D∗+, and their an- tiparticles, was measured with the ALICE detector in Pb-Pb collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair, √sNN, of 2.76TeV. The production yields for rapidity |y| < 0.5 are presented as a function of transverse momentum, pT, in the interval 1–36GeV/c for the centrality class 0–10% and in the interval 1–16 GeV/c for the centrality class 30–50%. The nuclear modification factor RAA was computed using a proton-proton reference at √√ s = 2.76 TeV, based on measurements at s = 7 TeV and on theoretical calculat ...Daha fazlası

Centrality dependence of ψ(2S) suppression in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The inclusive production of the ψ(2S) charmonium state was studied as a function of centrality in p-Pb collisions at the nucleon-nucleon center of mass energy √sNN = 5.02 TeV at the CERN LHC. The measurement was performed with the ALICE detec- tor in the center of mass rapidity ranges −4.46 < ycms < −2.96 and 2.03 < ycms < 3.53, down to zero transverse momentum, by reconstructing the ψ(2S) decay to a muon pair. The ψ(2S) production cross section σψ(2S) is presented as a function of the collision cen- trality, which is estimated through the energy deposited in forward rapidity calorime- ters. Measurement of beauty production via non-prompt D0 mesons in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The production of non-prompt D0 mesons from beauty-hadron decays was measured at midrapidity (|y| < 0.5) in Pb-Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-ofmass energy of √ sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE experiment at the LHC. Their nuclear modification factor (RAA), measured for the first time down to pT = 1 GeV/c in the 0–10% and 30–50% centrality classes, indicates a significant suppression, up to a factor of about three, for pT > 5 GeV/c in the 0–10% central Pb-Pb collisions. The data are described by models that include both collisional and radiative processes in the calculation of beautyqu ...Daha fazlası

Rapidity and transverse-momentum dependence of the inclusive J/ψ nuclear modification factor in p-Pb collisionsat√sNN =5.02TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We have studied the transverse-momentum (pT) dependence of the inclusive J/ψ production in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02TeV, in three center-of-mass rapidity (ycms) regions, down to zero pT. Results in the forward and backward rapidity ranges (2.03 < ycms < 3.53 and −4.46 < ycms < −2.96) are obtained by studying the J/ψ decay to μ+μ−, while the mid-rapidity region (−1.37 < ycms < 0.43) is investigated by measuring the e+e− decay channel. The pT dependence of the J/ψ production cross section and nuclear modification factor are presented for each of the rapidity intervals, as well as the J/ψ me ...Daha fazlası

Inclusive, prompt and non-prompt J/ψ production at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

The transverse momentum (pT) dependence of the nuclear modification factor RAA and the centrality dependence of the average transverse momentum ⟨pT⟩ for inclusive J/ψ have been measured with ALICE for Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76TeV in the e+e− decay channel at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.8). The ⟨pT⟩ is significantly smaller than the one observed for pp collisions at the same centre-of-mass energy. Consistently, an increase of RAA is observed towards low pT. These observations might be indicative of a sizable contribution of charm quark coalescence to the J/ψ production. Additionally, the fracti ...Daha fazlası

Coherent ρ0 photoproduction in ultra-peripheral Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

KARASU UYSAL, Ayben | ALICE Collaboration

We report the first measurement at the LHC of coherent photoproduction of ρ0 mesons in ultra-peripheral Pb-Pb collisions. The invariant mass and transverse momentum distributions for ρ0 production are studied in the π+π− decay channel at mid-rapidity. The production cross section in the rapidity range |y| < 0.5 is found to be dσ/dy = 425 ± 10 (stat.) +42 (sys.) mb. Coherent ρ0 production is studied with and without requirement −50 of nuclear breakup, and the fractional yields for various breakup scenarios are presented. The results are compared with those from lower energies and with model pre ...Daha fazlası
